It’s great to see a working class family with a sense of humor to ease the struggles of making ends meet. Trying to hold a family together with lower income jobs isn’t an easy task, especially with 3 children. I also see Roseanne has come to terms with the ways things are, she realizes that things may not change and that’s why she uses humor to cope with it all. Other characters try to look to deep into things and Roseanne just brushes it off. I believe she knows the value of family and how it works in the working class world. The dad, Dan, also uses humor to escape responsibility. Although this family uses a lot of comedy, they also seem under educated, but street smart and quick witted. Even when things get into a slightly heated moment, one of the children cut their fingers, and both parents stop fighting and tend to the child like they weren’t arguing at all. They realize, that there are more important things to worry about.
