The Jetsons episode “Family Fallout” is a source that I might use...Every episode George Jetson gets fired and rehired by his boss Mr. Spacely. It’s interesting in the fact that George Jetson, whether he realizes it or not, has job security. Mr. Spacely knows that George Jetson is Trust worthy and loyal. Mr. Spacely is just hot-headed and greedy, so whenever he fires George he realizes that he’s really too important and valuable to let go. The Jetsons was produced and directed by William Hannah and Joseph Barbera in the early 60’s and then again in the early 80’s. It depicts an American lifestyle in the year 2062. A work week is 3 hrs a day, 3 days a week. (Wouldn’t that be nice), State of the Art machinery help with all the hard labor, and its funny when they break down to see the “oh my goodness, I’m going to have to do the work myself now! Oh no!” The episode “Family Fallout” is a funny one. To sum it up quick, it’s a battle between George Jetson(middle class) and Mr. Spacely(Upper Class and Georges’ Boss) in a game show called Family Fallout. The Jetson family, being a lower class than the Spacelys, ends up winning the game because they answer the trivia questions correctly and therefore win the grand prize. George can pick between two prizes, the Galactic Scale grand prize or the special prize hidden behind door number two. George picks the prize hidden, it ends up being a super duper food machine that his wife absolutely loves. Because he picks this prize, the other prize is given to Spacelys’. Ironically, it’s a lifetime supply of Cogwells Cogs, Mr. Spacelys’ biggest competitor. This should be interesting to notice all the political hoop-blah that goes on.
One in-particular quote Mr. Spacely says about George Jetson is "George Jetson is the perfect employee. He's trustworthy, loyal, and most of all...killable!"
